I remember playing Market Garden for the first time. I remember thinking 'wow', looking at that bridge, when you first load the map. I had never seen another map like it. So much eye candy, and BIG!
The GOTY map pack was awesome too. I remember it took me like an hour to download on my 56k. The tram actually worked! Was so impressed. haha
Now it's QW. Congrats on all your success!
Thanks SD for all your hard work through the years you have given me tons of entertainment. Thanks for the community site! Stop killing my FPS!

haha when I think of Market Garden, I think of BF42, and a clanmatch that my team one by 1 ticket. The greatest moment in my gaming life.

Ahhhh, Market Garden matches that lasted 3 hours or more! Glorious days indeed. What was the server, CCM Florida maybe? I miss it, I might load up RTCW just to look for a MG server! :D

Remember when someone would run it on a 50 man server it was just one giant continuously ridiculous street brawl. lol what a great map.

I have played MG so many times and I still think it is a good map on the right servers. Especially enjoyed large servers, sneaking around as an engi trying to survive. Also remember when I saw the map for the first time, thinking "Woa, it is HUGE!".

axis hill on next to the bridge was my spot for hitting those heading down the north walk way towards the bridge... ping ping ping... sniped with a mauser... unfortunately the ET convert sucks because the k43/garand were pea-shooters and prone made them get away easier.

Ah yes, the CCM , Charter Communications Miami server, ran 64 person server with MarketGarden and NormandyBreakout. Used to be the only server I'd pub on after I finished doing the competition league ladders. The server got kinda lame after ET came out and they had all these rules about not being allowed to tk/revive someone and other such nonsense.
I'm very much looking forward to ET:QW

This brings back memories...
Once played a round there who was running ca. 8 hours. This was the place I learned teamplay.
For me, RtCW is Marketgarden. Still don't know the stock-maps.

marketgarded is awesome, but in 20 vs 20, there's no way you will make it to the other side.
We just ahave to wait for the map kit, so we can make converters for all RTCW and W:ET maps. honestly i doubt if you can convert a map like goldrush, becouse he's to smole, one APT can defend the whole bank.

It's a shame the RTCW community is stone dead now days. I've played a lot of games, but RTCW got me hooked the first time I played it. Never been a big fan of MG though.. :eek:
