As a Covert Ops, whenever I see a Hog driving by, I always snipe off exactly two of its wheels. This will make it take much longer for that Hog to become useable / respawn. If a Constructor comes out, I snipe him in the foot and run for cover.

I do the same as a Field Ops, but I normally take out one rear tire, makes it hard to drive in a straight line.;)

Also, when I am trying to take out a deployable, I'll normally shoot at it a bit first, to get it's hitpoints down, then lay arty on it. About half the time, an engie will come over to fix it, and get caught in the arty.:dance:

Well, I wouldn't say those are pointless. They delay if you're unable to completely destroy the vehicle.

As for me... I like delivering the coup de grace to wounded enemies. It pisses them, and their medics, off, aside from any bonuses it gives to my own team. :)

I love (as Strogg) getting in the Icarus and flying around the long way to the GDF snipers and killing them with the spikes. Oh, damn, do I love doing that.

Also, as a GDF covert op I love taking strogg spawn points and then placing a 3rd eye for the free kill(s) when I find a safe spot and use the remote view. :D

I like to use an icarius to get high, jump out, use parachute (you know, Strogg ,,shield'' for landing) and while mid-air start launching Obliberator, so when I land, I blast away unsuspecting people.

Or use Blaster/Pistol to kill snipers from behind... It's so cool, they think someone saw them and they are trying to find him, while I give them 10 shiny bullets ;d

I've seen someone do that to a freshly spawned Titan on Island (after the generator is constructed). someone took the titan for a ride and apparently the GDF were rather blind because when it blew, that plasma charge resulted in 5 kills :dance:

I'm also a fan of getting in a bumble bee as a soldier with a rocket launcher, flying around, waiting for a tormentor to attack, then shooting it down from the side seat. I usually yell "Surprise!" Afterwards.

As a medic, I like killing Cyclops by dropping supply crates on them, works best at L2 medic, since I can take the health down with nades, then finish off with a crate.

Anyways I like to climb hills with tank and gettin over enemy bases to rain death on them and watch their pitiful attempts to take me down.
Also sniping down the same peeps over and over again as soon as they leave spawn to the moment when they become so paranoic that they do few steps and cover, few steps and cover.
Shooting Hog few meters away from tank, giving them faith that they can ram me.
Planting mines on ceilings, people never check them.
Running disguised for a short time along with enemies so that they think it's safe just to knife them whenever they try to catch a breath.
Kill a guy, wait for medic to revive him, then kill him again... and again till I loose my ammo or he quits.

Tell me about it... I was using a Desecrator on an Island and I was ,,sniping'' with cannon (did you notice that Plasma Cannon doesn't listen to gravity?) and someone called a Hammer. Didn't know it was locked on me... But that's just funny - I respawned 5 seconds later, Desecrator 10 seconds later and they had almost minute of useless Hammer. Which I destroyed once I got into my vehicle ;p

No doubt, this is one of the most satisfying parts of the game, especially if the sniper has gotten you a few times. I found two snipers on the hill in Canyon, I used the Icarus to get behind them, took out the first one with the lacerator. The second one jumped about 10 feet in the air when he heard it. From there it's easy, keep your distance and strafe, very tough for the sniper to get you. Just aim for his head and don't forget to teabag him after he's dead.;)

Yea, thing is, im not stupid enough to go thru the CENTER of the gate. I move over to the damn side and get runned over by idiots >.< Doesn't matter, left or right, some people cant move to the center where I AM NOT in the effing way. Another thing I do with dead bodies is that if I'm a GDF medic, I try to revive him with my defibrillator, only for his strogg dead body to be gibbed.

I also throw stroyent, ammo, health, whatever could be dispensed at the dead body thus taunting him. I'm like "You want my health packs?"

A third thing I do, is hit him with a knife. You know how people who want to gib dead bodies just keep on slashing it with a knife? I hit him once with a knife, and say towards my screen, "you like that?" then hit him again while dancing around his body.

Last thing, if a vehicle is nearby, after I kill someone with a light vehicle like hog or armadillo, either by ramming or using the turret, I drive forwards over the body, then reverse over the body, like in GTA where when you run someone over, and you keep on going back and forth to make sure he is dead, but you couldn't do that, but it is funny when you are dead to see a hog or armadillo running back and forth over your view.

Taunting someone you just killed is funny, especially on a person whom you ended his killing spree, or that guy who keeps on killing you.

I kept on getting sniped by this one dude, and I said "that's it", then I kicked his ass, then I started to do stupid things to his body, like defib him once, toss a medpack at his face, then started to knife him once, jumped up and down and danced on his head, then teabagged him to show how it is if they mess with me.

Something unrelated to doing stupid things to dead bodies. I once was opressor and put a tac shield in front of the covert ops sniper. He was still shooting at my tac shield as if I wasn't even behind him. I was like smacking my face.

In any vehicle with wheels, snipe all but the rear two wheels. It is funny how they go in, and they can't even turn.

Even better is when you take out one of the wheels while they are moving. They usually crash into something and then try to straighten out by backing up and pulling forward. Just as they are moving I usually take out another wheel. Pissed off a guy once doing that. Kept grabbing the hog on valley, 2nd objective. Stayed on a hilltop with the sniper rifle and took out the tires.

Even better than that is when they are using the hyperblaster. I have taken out all 4 tires on a hog while they are busy shooting. The WTH begin to fly when they press forward and nothing happens:D

Yesterday on Quarry I smashed my Anansi into a player in an Icarus that was WAAAY off the ground. He was flying towards the ship with one of the objectives, then I just dove into him. We both laughed so hard at how absurd that was.

/me fav = Icarus. I liek to bounce up real high, and come down fast.

You would not even begin to imagine how many times I have been sucked into GDF turbofan. what annoys me is when they spawncamp using that tactic (like on Outskirts first objective).

A group ov strogg drop out ov they sky, and are rammed by an Anansi at high speeds. If any ov them twitch a shot off, they die because their spawn shield goes away. I learned real fast to switch weapons as I drop, and fire a rocket once I hit the ground.

I like throwing a 3rd eye on a hog after an objective is lost (like Area 22) then then kill them the second they get in.

I killed someone with the stroyent tool once. That has to be the rarest weapon in the game to get a kill with, as the damage is low and rate of fire is like once per 5 seconds.

Just remembered, if I'm disguise behind a group of people (eg 4), I'll backstab the nearest one to me, then while he is in limbo - so that he can watch me. I'll change out of my disguse and kill the rest of the group :D

Another thing I did once, which was by total accident and hadn't planned to do. I teleported over the wall on Volcano and made my way down to the forward bunker mg nest and there was a couple of medics and solider holed up there. Naturally, I killed them (quickly, AR is nightmare to deal with). Nothing special, but I did get called a sneaky bastard. lol!

I love blowing out their front tires as they go full speed at me thinking that they are going to run over me.


once the tire blows you get this really cinematic scene where the hog starts flipping over in the air and crashes behind you.

....you dont get credit for the kill, but OMG how satisfying that kill is!

Following a soldier (ninja stylee), let him plant the charge, wait a bit (so about 25-50% armed) and then kill him :D Or if your a constructor let him plant it, arm it, kill and then defuse in front of him.

Obviously this only works against isolated soldiers.

Another I like to do, is to grab a disguse and MAKE SURE the person is watching me. Once I've took his pants, run around a few corners and take it off. :D

I love toying with clueless icarus drivers.

When I'm alone with an icarus who thinks he can actually kill someone who knows he is there, all I do is look at him. When he fires a stroybomb I simply take a few steps out of the way and continue staring at him. Evidently he'll jump back in the air and try to take another shot at me and all I do is take a couple step out of the way and keep on staring. Repeat this for about a minute or two (yes, it can really last that long).
Normally at this point he'll get the hint that he can't kill me that way and he'll drop to the ground and try to shoot me (maybe I don't know how to shoot?). This is where I quickly kill him with a couple of headshots.

Makes me laugh everytime.

Once I go down in a Bumblebee, I like to randomly stick a mine on some Strogg deployables and trick them into coming close to me to try and kill me.

Kills 3 birds with one stone

1. Damages the deployable fairly heavily
2. Kills the Strogg

When I'm an constrctor I like to take the Icarus indoors and use it to block a doorway that the GDF will have to use while I plant mines.

It slows em down and lets you know they are coming, since there is no quiet way to trash an Icarus ...

there's multiple ways to fool around in qw:

a) mine any minigun, be it the mcp/anansi/titan one - the mines will spin with the barrels
b) pimp the wheels of your vehicle of choice with some mines - same here, shiny spinnaz
c) someone mentioned planting a charge on the main cannons of a tormy - also works with mines, if you're good, you can slap an unarmed mine onto the cannon of a titan in combat - if its low on health, it will probably blow up trying to shoot stuff - works for all vehicles with explosive weapons
d) my favourite: use the husky as a submarine, because it retains its speed under water - also makes for some nice shortcuts, on refinery for example, so maybe it's not all that useless
e) trying to surf on an anansi/tormy in warmup, although you'll most likely fall of if it starts to gain some speed ; riding on top of a cyclops, same here

I make the majority of my flyin killz like that :D especially when I planted 3 mines in my anansi's nose b4 :D Really I like to ram anythin which flight with a flyer as I can't aim fo s**t :D.

Other cheap kill, as a strogg constructor I like plantin mine on spawn host, but its not that useless as its kill rushin medics who want to destroy it :D

Another thing funny I did one day (a lucky one) is to disguise yourself (full health) find a squad of medic, stay a bit with them , takin cover etc etc to make them confident, then run on an objective, they followed me and get both killed :D This is useless but fun.

I like mining the most STUPID places.. (and getting kills from em..) those spots that're NEVER used, except when some1 is on low health.. (corners etc.) in Area22 (generator) the corners are great places to get kills.. *They're planted on the Generator* *you killed planter*

best thing is to run in and disarm the charge before he hits respawn (laying there.. died by a mine, his sole purpose of running in the building didn't work out.. Muahahhaha!

Okay:

- I shoot down on a group of players with my tormentor, kill a GDF and a Strogg player in the progress, even though I offer my excuse he files a complaint and says ":-)"
- two minutes later I walk in front of his hyperblaster and he kills me, so I file a complaint and in a similar fashion reply ":-)"
- Later on in the game he finds me and brings me down to 5 hp or so and walks away.
- Later we spawn together and he hops with me in the hog so I drive right into the desert OOB area and respawn, he hops out in time and barely survives the OOB ring area while walking the long walk back to the spawn.
-Just before the end I see him lying on the floor so I revive him while he yells "NO!" so I quit the revive at 90% and teabag him.
-He turns out to be an admin and switches me to the GDF seconds before they lose.

I always set up an energy shield on the left (facing GDF) entrance to the Refinery on last objective. It makes em freak out, and sometimes actually protects a mine from nades.

Disable spawncamping desecrators and plant a radar on top of it. Throw another emp nade - so the desecrator is disabled and after 30 seconds it will be squished by some incoming radar. :cool:

Dont know if someone has said this already, but as GDF i like to plant an HE charge right on front of the Husky :D
Then you wait a while for the charge to get ready to blow, get near a deployable or something else you want to blow up, go full speed towards it as the charge is gonna blow and dodge the vehicle. BOOM! :oppressor:

lately i love to just knife and spike enemies, even if not covert op or infiltrator.
Sometimes if i hurt them to almost no hp with gun i try finishing them with a melee blow ;)

Hah, soomething about this just hit me. Plant a charge. request icarus, run away. At the very least, the icarus will be in the way of the charge, and they'll have to destroy it first or they defuse around it, then you can shoot the icarus and it'll work as a grenade blowing them all up. At the very best, it'll crush them as they defuse.

It's crazy enough to work. ;)

If i get run over by a tank noob often enough, I just wait untill the tank respawns, and I throw a HE/PC into the main gun... Noob spawns in, takes tank, clicks to fire.... nothing happens. I usually get a refreshing "WTF!? HAX!" on the chat before the explosion:p

I love to wait on dead people for the medic with my hyperblaster. They come around the corner and try to revive the guy while Im blocking them. Usually theyre dead before they reach the bait but once I got defib killed though :D

I like to take the titan up to high places and use it as an artillery, far from enemy lines.
In close quarter combat, when i know im out gunned or about to die, i always start cooking a grenade, and allow myself to be shot, click click cli BYE BYE INFILTRATOR!!!

I fly and land behind them. I sneak up by squatting. No footsteps are heard.

Then I use global chat and yell "Hey (and their name.) LOOK behind you!

Soldier with RL. On Quarry or another map where you find yourself at the spawnpoint when the generator inevitably blows up, camp with one of the hogs locked on. the lock holds and you can see that the vehicle is empty. as soon as someone gets in, blow it.

you just know that the guy has sprinted to the hog thinking "now I'm going to go and ram someone", then he hears and sees the missile lock on warning for about 1 sec.

then boom!

funnier is that dudes sometimes then respawn and run into the OTHER hog!

since icarus can't get roadkills i'd imagine it just explodes on impact? which wouldnt kill a tank?

Does abusing bots offline count as pointless? I don't do this to humans, but I enjoy shooting a friendly engineer's wheel off, and watching him change the tire. Again. And again. And again. Those bots have an endless supply of tires stashed somewhere.

Couple of days ago i was guarding GDF first spawn being an oppressor hugging the central hill - couple of mortars here and there, everything went sweet. Got heavily shot, so i instantly order an icarus to get out while shielding myself. Clock ticking, low health, and then i notice a bumblebee flying directly to me penetrating my shields with a minigun. I'm ready to tap out, it's almost over me, but out of nowhere my lucky icarus falls from the skies to squish the bumblebee and all three cocky passengers ready to hack the slipgate. Epic. :D

If someone files a complaint against me for stupid reasons, example: For TK revive (hell yea, even with full health revive), I later on pretend to be a Infiltrator by taking my knife as medic and attempt to stab him in the back.

Usually people are so "watch out" that they keep firing on me even if they see the green mark until I'm dead. Then I enjoy filing a complaint back against him.

And if they notice if I'm friendly, I just keep jumping from great heights until I've damaged myself down to almost nothing HP before I "attempt" to stab them in the back so they kill me instantly when checking.

Either that or I switch to a Lightning Pistol when I kill them (or the Blaster if I'm using a different class than soldier) and use a single shot from that to the head to perform the coup de grace.

I do that sometimes anyway. It's good fun cause some medics are oblivious to anything when they see an injured teammate (especially bot ones).

Lol, bots are oblivious to everything except what they're coded to do. That's utterly erroneous to assume that medics rush in because they're oblivious, because I know for a fact that most times, it's either for xp or they think they can revive and retreat back to cover. Unless it's been over 10 secs, the medic would have to be deaf not to hear the hyperblaster or retarded not to notice obituary/radar.

I just found another one I like to do and have been doing it a lot recently. When I'm in disguise as an enemy player and I see one of them get shot down, I walk over all casual, kneel down next to them, get out my spikes or knife (depending on what side I'm playing as) and just slash at their throat until they're dead.

It's mostly just to rub it in really. No real purpose, I just love doing it.

It's even better when I either find the guy I'm disguised as ready for gibbing, or when I manage to sneak up behind a prone hillhugger and just give him a quick slice to the back of the head >:)

You can gib while in disguise without getting spotted for it. I was standing right infront of the technician and gibbed the bot he tried to revive.

In some rare situations I pretend gibbing my teammate. It might stop a real enemy from getting him gibbed til the medic arrives and it backs up my disguise.

It just seems like such a Hollywood stunt moment.

How ironic how I said I wouldn't retaliate a long time ago to some rather harsh critism from you, but I seems I still hold a grudge and is inclined to flame you. This isn't flame though...

Missle lock warning? From a cyclops or dese? Those are so common and dominating that you shouldn't fly until you receive the level 2 vehicle awards for improved flares...because once they fire, the "missile" has a 99% chance of impacting and thus killing you even if you were flying hundreds of meters away at max speed.

You lose your disguise if you
-deal damage to a living (not unconcious) enemy* and
-someone sees you and
-survives it.

By seeing I mean standing in a certain field of view and distance which is relativly low.

So you dont lose the disguise if
-you strike a killing blow from the front or
-you strike from the side (and noone else sees you) or
-the backstab doesnt connect so its just a knife strike (and noone else sees you) or
-you totally miss and hit the surroundings or unconcious people.

*didnt check deployables, vehicles and friendly target. I hope you can forgive me on that leak of proof.


When chasing a poor victim running you sometimes just get knife strikes without killing but you dont lose the disguise. But its hard to explain why you hit him with the knife out. Quickly switching to the rifle works sometimes if your fast enough and then stroying down at the supply crate :D Typical situation on Outskirts which makes the last objective to my favorite part of the game:)
