Location: Nearby Baia de Barra Grande, Brazil
Naval Defence Force Headquarters, designated primary site.
Summary of the situation:
Major World navies were inflicted unsustainable losses from the Strogg orbital strikes prior to their invasion. A number of eleven submarines and two frigates worldwide have gone through the initial attack undamaged. However, the last months have seen our forces dwindle down to only three subs in the last month alone. One, the NDF Revenge has not reported for the last sixteen days and it is presumed sunk. It will be stricken from the navy list of active vessels shortly. As for the NDF Gorbatchev, the only state-of-the-art submarine actually functional in the fleet, she has not reported for 72 hours and she is due to arrive in the vicinity for docking in less than 24 hours. As for the NDF Carter, the second class of submarines bearing the name of James Earl "Jimmy" Carter Jr., she is scheduled to leave docks within 12 hours.
Present mission:
A sizeable attack force is massing itselft Southwest of Valença and from scouting observations, is heading our way. GDF soldiers are stationed in the hills and the delta nearby. They must delay the Strogg offensive in order to give time to the "Carter" to reach the Atlantic and a safe depth. Once she is far enough, she will launch some of her nuclear warheads to prevent the HQ capture. Remaining GDF personnel will be evacuated accordingly before the strike. Heavy Strogg air attacks are to be assumed because of the difficult terrain their soldiers will have to deploy onto. The "Carter" must have the time to launch her ballistic missiles before she escapes below or sinks trying. Anti-air defence and our Veteran Anansi squadron as well as our full complement of Trojans amphibious corps (which is tremendously well-suited for this type of terrain) are the best assets we have to slow down the Strogg. Good luck to all!
Primary objectives:
Delay the Strogg offensive and the capture of the NDF HQ
Protect the NDF Carter's safe departure
Preserve the energy generator from a Strogg-initiated power failure

Location: The Amazon
Summary of the Situation:
A hidden GDF base deep in the Amazon has been discovered by strogg satellites. The GDF base is underground near a fork in a river. This is a strategic point where the GDF have been developing weapons to counter the strogg invasion. The GDF also have important documents of strategic assault plans and some strogg hostages used for research. The base is extremely fortified from outside with only 3 entrance ways. They are blocked by huge walls that can only be destroyed from the inside. The walls have barricades with turrets on the other side.
Objectives:
1) Infiltrate the base and destroy the huge walls
2) Capture the strategic plans and bring them to the Evac point
3) Destroy the Super weapons to counter strogg
4) Rescue the strogg hostages
Imagine fighting in water, damp foggy places and little villages like these. The first picture is the forked river:

First scenario sounds great. Would be a pretty fun map to play. As far as the second scenario(strogg mission), doesn't sound very interesting. I mean come on, an underground building in a swamp? I have some property I'm selling that you might be interested in :)

To whomever wants to create it once the game is released:
Location: "Tarakan" bay, Northeastern area of Borneo island
Planned landing site for beachhead operation "Mayhaze"
Summary of the situation:
The Far East was struck first when the Strogg invasion began, probably behind this was the Strogg plan to obliterate higly-populated area first because of the potential threat they would pose in manpower: devastating orbital strikes hit all population-heavy cities from the Arabian Sea to what used to be the island of Japan. The Strogg Occupation Force went to take over and settle down on the whole island of Borneo, which is the focal point in the South-East Asia region. From Borneo, they can attack in every direction, especially with the range available to their aeronautic fleet. Furthermore, intelligence reveals that Mount Kinabalu has been excavated from the inside and they build it in such way that it would be considered as a well-defended "Strogghold" (GDF's new designation for Strogg stronghold). Moreover, and most importantly, scouts have spotted a damaged spaceship landing "into" the mountain. Needless to say, we cannot fail in capturing the island: that spaceship represents what the GDF's key for the future of Earth! "Tarakan" bay is where our offensive will begin.
Present mission:
NDF Gorbatchev will launch all her warhead arsenal towards other Strogg-controled areas on Borneo. Thus, it will prevent our attacking force of having to fight on too many battlefronts. "Tarakan" bay was chosen because of the well-documented reports of the area throughout the first phase of the Allied invasion of Borneo in 1945. No Strogg presence was reported on Tarakan island, thus once the beachhead operation starts, Tarakan will serve as our airfield for Bumblebees and Anansis alike and also the site of our anti-orb. strike array. Anansi squads will be given the delicate task of destroying Strogg Psi-radars in the area. A sizeable amount of Trojans and Platypus boats will be delivered frequently on the island until the bay is taken over. Air superiority must be obtained. Tanks will land once the bay is secure. It will be imperative to head towards Mount Kinabalu as soon as heavy equipments are dropped (i.e. tanks, MCP, deployables, etc.). Its capture will bolster GDF strenght a great deal!
Primary objectives:
Destroy Strogg Psi-radar with Anansi squadrons prior to landingl
Secure "Tarakan" bay at all costsl
Take control of the highway heading North towards the mountain
Capture the Strogghold complex in Mount Kinabalul
*****
Notes: (1) Once they are destroyed, the Strogg bay spawn area cannot receive newly oppressor-deployed Psi-radar until the bay is secured by the GDF. Their destruction means that the mountain chain "echoes" back to space "heavy waves signals" which in turn activate re-deploying Psi-Radar's auto-destruction mechanism. Towards the Strogg-controled highway spawn, this effect does not affect the Psi-radar enough for their being destroyed mid-air. (2) GDF MCP vehicles will only be able to fire their tactical strike once the first half of the highway's capture will be achieved. The area is to cramped for a tactical strike to be used effectively.

So guys, what do you think of my second scenario???
I have an idea for a campaign of 3 maps all taking place in roughly the same area. It will basically be the same map but with different objectives and a few other differences. This will make it a lot easier to build as the structure between the 3 maps will not change much. Although each part of it will have different areas that you can gain access to.
Part 1 The Town
Summary: The Strogg are pushing across North America, and are now trying to push across the Rocky Mountains while assimilating or consuming any humans in their path. They are currently meeting resistance at a small town in Colorado where GDF soldiers are holding them at bay. The GDF Sams are keeping the Strogg from air dropping in a larger force.
Mission: There is a GDF bunker on the other side of the town carved in the side of the mountain which contains the majority of the "Star Wars" technology that has been in development since the 1980's. This may be the only hope for the GDF to launch a counter-offensive into space. This bunker must be protected at all costs.
Objectives:
1. Protect the barricade in front of the town.
2. Keep the 3 main radars up and running to help the Sams target incoming drop ships to prevent Strogg reinforcements.
3. Protect the 2 computers controlling the targeting of the Sams that are located within a fortified building in the small town.
4. Prevent the Strogg from setting up a base at the edge of town.
Part 2 Assault on the Bunker
Summary: The Strogg, due to the efforts of their initial strike force, were able to sneak in a few drop ships here and there to keep the pressure on the GDF. Eventually it became too much, and after hours of fighting and many casualties the GDF were forced to retreat.
Objectives:
1. Sneak behind enemy lines and destroy the drop ships.
2. Protect the mountain path barricades.
3. Don't allow the Strogg to penetrate the bunker.
4. Don't allow the Strogg to access Hangers 1 and 2.
5. Don't allow the Strogg to destroy the spaceships in Hangers 1 and 2
Part 3 Counterattack
Summary: After the assault on the bunker, the Strogg decided to make a massive orbital strike on the bunker. The result being to flatten the main entrances, part of the nearby town, and killing any resistance outside. However, they did not find or destroy Hanger 3 within the bunker. Hanger 3 holds the most advanced technology available from the Star Wars project. There is a side entrance to the bunker that went untouched in the previous assault, and security cameras show that Hanger 3 is still intact. GDF reinforcements have come too late to stop the Strogg's initial attack, but they must reclaim what is left in Hanger 3.
Objectives:
1. Assault the town, and set up a base of operations.
2. Destroy the 5 dropships in the town
3. Destroy the barricade leading to the side entrance.
4. Enter the bunker, and establish a base inside.
5. Secure Hanger 3, and kill any Strogg still inside the bunker.

It's a good concept. The only thing that I think will be hard to understand from a DEV perspective is the fact that it is not using the megatexture to its maximum. Besides that, I agree that it would be interesting how it would unfold while playing it.

To whomever wants to create it once the game is released:
Location: Glen Canyon and Lake Powell immediate area
Summary of the situation:
A great number of West Coast inhabitants have been "pre-processed" and their "remains" is being liquified and sent through a giant "stroyoduct" right into Lower Lake Powell, where its water was vaporized not too long ago. Navajo Canyon is now a derivation which channels southwards the remaining water from the 2 other Lake Powell reservoirs (upstream). The Strogg did all this to prevent the Colorado from "infecting" incoming pre-processed Stroyent, being stocked in Lower Lake Powell area. Furthermore, Mead Lake is dry and although Hoover Dam is a valuable base of operation, stocked energy is critically low: we must release the river --and flush down the Stroyent in the same process-- and before it can be done, the Glen Canyon Dam area must be retaken along with the Stroyent Plant at the base of the dam.
Present mission:
The giant stroyoduct has been constructed along the highway nearby Lower Lake Powell. 2 smallers pipelines then goes to different points to fill in the lake: one through the ghost town of Wahweap, the other about 2 miles South from the first. The area is well patroled, but scout observations have noticed that Stroggs do not patrol often around the second pipeline. Your forces will have to find a way to sabotage that second pipeline (the more it is sabotaged on its lenght, the more time it will take to repair it), which in return will raise the alarm in Glen Canyon complex. Emergency Strogg repair teams will be dispatched to seal the breach(es). Once it's done, 1 mile South, there is a containment dam in a narrow riverway, which keeps pre-processed Stroyent to a certain level before its release to Glen Canyon Plant --right now, that level is far from optimal, so a smaller quantity of liquid will go downstream if we succeed in blowing it up. So, your forces must blow up this dam and automatically special collector doors fixed on the Glen Canyon dam will open. It will be the only way in for our invading forces: the other "doors" in the complex are sealed from "within" and it would be almost impossible to penetrate "cohesively". While in the complex, you must hack in the Communication device to obtain vital information (download info + virus infection) and destroy the Stroyent Plant at the base of the damn as soon as the hacking objective is complete.
Primary objectives:
Sabotage the second pipeline
Blow up the containment dam
Invade Glen Canyon complex
Hack in the Strogg Communication device
Destroy the Stroyent Plant

Can we have some strogg attack missions soon?
Well, I wanted to write my THIRD scenario from the Strogg perspective, but I changed my mind because I thought we could "identify" ourselves better if I wrote from the GDF perspective. Actually, it does not really matter which side I write about, because each mission is playable from both side, as we all know.
I'll do some brainstorming and I'll design a scenario specifically sound to the Stroggs.
In any case, did you like the Third scenario? Use Google Earth and zoom in to Glen Canyon Dam to "live" everything I've written.

Unfortunately, I will not. But I am throwing in ideas for whomever wants to do them. Or, if Splash Damage wants to consider them.
Read my Fourth scenario (below), this time it is Strogg-based.
Somvone, here is below the scenario ("snare-io") you requested.

To whomever wants to create it once the game is released:
Location: Main Nuclear Storage Waste, Kola Peninsula, Gremikha Naval Base.
Summary of the situation:
Orbital sensors have shown that Humans maintain a large facility and many ships emitting a distinct radioactive signature, the most highly-concentrated on this planet. The MasterMind is concerned with the kind of firepower likely to be deployed against our space fleet. He is sending us on location with a heavy task force to control the area, salvage and recycle valuable materials and if Humans counter-attack, either eliminate or capture those who dare fighting us!
Present Mission:
We cannot wipe them out with our Orbital Strikes, in case it would give away our position in orbit so, oppressors, this option will not be available to you as well as deploying Dark Matter Cannons for the safety of this mission. It is crucial to capture INTACT the cylindric-shaped building besides what seems to be a dry-dock storage area. Many "steel floating vessels" are docked nearby and they represent a certain threat to the area's capture. The quays have to be under our control. In the event of "resistance", you are summoned to eradicate/stroggify the threat they pose with the most brutal display of Strogg power.
Primary objectives:
Capture intact the cylindric-shaped building
Control the 3 main quays in the area
Stroggify the deeply-hidden underground compound
Special objective once the first two are achieved: to win, this one must be carried out + the 2 others still being complete
NOTE TO EVERYONE: This is a new twist, in fact, this is not a scenario but rather a "snario". The Strogg lured themselves into thinking that this Naval Base was of valuable significance. When the GDF notice Strogg movement towards this site, it's been decided that all would be done to inflict them massive damage. Either 4 decaying nuclear boomers (boomers=SSBN) must be rigged to detonate or the spent nuclear fuel depository (a few storeys below the cylindric-shaped building) must succeed with their respective auto-destruction sequence.

Thank you for making it looks like it would be Awesome close quarters fighting and the strogg rushing to get out once/if they discover it's a snario. Also great job with the first three after all it's SO much easer to indentify with fellow humans then a bunch of barbaric aliens.
P.S great idea with the snario!

P.-S. great idea with the snario!
Thanks man. Very appreciated as a comment. It would be a small map in size but with a lot of action. In fact, once the "snario" begins, the GDF task (as just some of the GDF players, let's say 1/3 max. will be able to start inside the cylindric-shaped building) will be to send a player belowground, in the spent nuclear fuel depository in order to rig a console with a bomb set to detonate after 8 minutes have passed and trigger a Chernobyl-like explosion. However, the whole Strogg task force will face fewer soldiers in that building, so if the GDF defends the site well, they "may" have the time to slow down the Strogg and make it explode. If it does not work, the Stroggs will notice it's a "snario" and they will still have to protect the building they just captured and the quays because of the potentially heavy-threat they pose as they are in the vicinity. Once it's done, they will get a report that there is a secret underground compound 1~2 miles South of Gremikha (built at the time of the USSR but now newly operational) from intercepted comm. So in fact, luckily for them it is no more a vain attempt like it was before their 2 objectives were completed. IMHO, the best way for the GDF would be to rig the console and then leave the building being attacked, use that manpower to try to attack a quay and rig the core of 4 boomers. Some of the quays would be more remote than others and although the Strogg accomplish their objective in controling 3 quays, there are more than 3 quays in the area and they must control the right ones as some of them will have fewer than 4 subs and others will have maybe 10 or 12 subs moored to them. The submarines' locations would be random however!
Yet, I am pround of the "snario" twist!
