Does this require 200xp for knife or 2000xp?
ingame achievements page ingame says 2000xp but stats.enemyterritory.com says 200xp?
as its a wreath i imgagine its 2000xp, and seeing as iv only got 94 knife xp (even less for blaster/pistol) iv got a long long way to go.
Is tehre any tricks to gaining kinfe xp? the only way i get it uptil now is through backstab as a covy

go by what is ingame... 2000. your sigs n such will be wrong, but until sd fixes it, theres not much else you can do.

The website is wrong in this case, the ingame stats is correct. 2000 xp for the promotion / medal.
Knife Xp is difficult to come by. Easiest way is to play Infiltrator / Covert Ops and backstab people. I got most of my xp from backstabbing but lately I've been getting more and more knife kills on snipers, people repairing deployables, or low health people with their backs turned. :D

2000 seems resonable.. its a wreath for **** sakes it would be easier to get this then 2000 shotgun XP for the previous.
think that it's easy for a soldier/aggresor to get small arms if they use the AR or lacerator enough... i usually play as a medic... and i've almost got the small arms first medal... although i don't know how im going to do with the scoped AR/scoped Lacerator XD cause i dont use them a lot... you just have to be good with those 4 weapons and you'll get small arms shield easily... (i guess)

if its 2000 for the knives then shouldnt it be 2000 for the battlesense wreath? Why is the battle sense only 600 for the wreath? with the knife being as weak as it is (unless youre back stabbing someone) 2000 is a bit much.

no, because its actually rather difficult to get the 600xp for the bs wreath. you almost have to be bad at the game to get the wreath (its based on taking damage w.o returning the favor, oh and not dying for 45 seconds)

Or you can be like the guy (wolina) in this thread who thinks it's ok to band with an enemy player to stat pad for his wreath. And he even admits to it.

yeah thats my other question ... why cant the wreath be for any damage taken? Cause if im getting shot at im not going to just run away... im not some kind of coward. might be why i have about 7600 xp on the shield and 76 on the wreath cause i return fire when people shoot at me LOL.:D

Medics who are focused on reviving and engineers who are building are two classes that are often in the position where they're taking fire, but not necessarily returning fire.

This is incorrect. The most experience is gained by killing something, taking damage AND living(revives count as living also).

your answer to my quote has nothing to do with what i said. what is your point on emphasizing the word AND? its not like i didnt say stay alive.

I meant that you were right about the living part, but the taking damage without returning it was incorrect. That gets you a lesser amount of battlesense experience every 45s. The capital AND was merely to separate what I was correcting, with what you already knew.
What I should have said was the most battlesense experience is gained by killing something, taking damage and living. Every 45s you'll get 2 BS points for this. For just taking damage it's like .25 or .5. EQ4newbies has a whole section on this. Confirmed by an SD guy in a thread around here someplace. Search for it if you don't believe me.
Meh, I suppose I'll get it when I do. :?
As bogus as the wreath seems with the 2k knife xp. ><

He was actually talking about the battlesense wreath which you only gain XP towards by taking damage... Yes he may have been wrong about him not being able to gain in that catagory by also dealing damage, but dealing damage has nothing to do with gaining XP towards the wreath

and thats what i meant by cabars answer having nothing to do with my quote he made. yes cabar, you get more xp for doing other things. but the wreath is about taking damage only.

I follow the online game requirements for medals, and I believe them to be correct.
