When I go to launch flares, I often miss the "1" key and hit the "~" key next to it, which brings down the console and prevents any further control input. I quickly die.
How can I bind the console to some other key? I'd guess Numpad Minus might be a good key for that, or Numpad Asterisk, as that's not near the WASD cluster and not something I'd want to use in a firefight anyway.

Type seta com_allowConsole "0"
With these, you have to press CTRL+ALT+² to open console.
Bind flares to a diff key..
I use the spacebar for it in heli

i'd say weapon next to mouse 2 very good for flyers
mouse 4 for flare or e if you dont have a mouse 4

Space sounds good, since I'm already using Ctrl and Shift for brake and sprint.

I use space and I use free aiming on mouse 2. I fly the bumblebee a lot and you need a lot of both.

What is the bind for flares btw? I would love to change it but haven't really looked into it much and hitting 1 is a little inconvenient for my controls.
