How do i watch a recorded video but not using the game replay section

i made a fairly good sniping video and wish to show my friends but i dont know how to play it outsde of the game
is there a way to change the format of the video so it can be played through widowes media player or a program like that
if so please reply to me and tell me how

this subject is very annoying, especially when it is better than my friends guide
mine is nothing but hedshots and a few chest shots

Someone here posted a tutorial on making ETQW videos, incuding everything from recording the demo to uploading them on youtube. Search for it.

It's not a video yet. Just a demo. The good thing is that more than just your first person view is present, so you can put some other angles into the video.

To make a video you would need a program like Fraps that converts the stuff which is happening on the screen into a video.

Or, if you just want to show it to your friends you can send them the demo and let them replay that.

I play back the demo in the game client and use XVidCap to record an MPEG. Then you can YouTube it or do whatever you want with it.
