I'm a huge desecrator buff, it's the best land vehicle in the game (by a small margin). Several times in critical situations I've hopped out to repair, only to be killed by the still moving dessie. Of course if you come to a complete stop before exiting, you will be fine. This brings up another issue-
Should vehicles have boarding times?
One of my chief tactics is to constantly harass the enemy with either the Dessie,Titan, or Trojan. I can often times suppress an entire team on a pub server just by driving around the enemy base, killing all targets, and repairing as needed.
While I love doing this, I question if it is balanced to be able to hop out and be repairing .5 seconds later, only to be able to instantly re-board the when you are finished. I would liken this to giving the medic/tech infinite medpacks/stroy cells, As there is no limit as to how much the engi may repair. What I would like to see is a boarding animation (See: Planetside.) That would last a different amount of time based on the vehicle. Cyclops being maybe 3.5 seconds, all the way down to the husky and icarus at like .5 seconds.
I realize this probably wont happen due to the way the vehicle graphics were constructed but always something to shoot for. You guys (SD) did a great job with the vehicle cockpits, I love how they all have a different feel to them, Now I want to see myself entering from 1st person perspective rather than being magically teleported inside.
Holy crap what a rant! Really, I just want the dessie inertia fixed so I don't die when I jump out.
