jerky vehicle control

I have the fps unlocked and get well over 60fps most of the time, but everything gets so jerky when I'm controlling a vehicle, even though there's no change in the actual frame rate. Has anyone else found this? It makes it really difficult to drive and aim, it's so laggy.

Also it's even worse in the limbo menu, the pointer sticks every half second or so
