View Full Version : 5.1 sound XFI??
Its not letting me turn 5.1 surround on in game. Console says defaulting to 2.0 etc....
Using XFI-Music. Any one else with this or fix it? Any console command to fix or anything at all regarding this issue would be great. Thanks in advance!

Vista = fail.
We will have to wait for SP1 or SP2 until Creative "can" fix the problem with surround sound. Until then, headphones + fake surround sound. :(

I wish I had your luck. I have an X-Fi Elite Pro and cannot get surround sound via S/PDIF. I can get analog surround ... but I don't have the cables. :(

While I have only been able to access the setup screen, I have Vista Ultimate with a X-Fi Fatality card and 5.1 headphones and it is keeping the settings every time I log in.
Maybe reinstall drivers or something :cool:
It was fixed by enabling 5.1 under the sound options in control panel. Running XP.
This should be noted somewhere in an faq that the game will check this before anything else regarding sound.

I have the same problem and yes I have 5.1 enabled in my properties and it is working fine with everything else. I'm using the integrated sound on an Asus P5N32E-SLI Plus using Vista Ultimate 64bit.

The problem is the Vista drivers.
