I would like to know if it is, because the whole game has wonderful elements of teamplay, wonderful classes that can help the team in a nice way but i can't see an organization about it.
Would a squad system be the solution for it?
Bunch of guys talking on the voip it's not really teamwork, it's team-death-match.
Is here the right place for that kind of discussion, the dev team checks these forums?
Please let me know, because i really wanna help ETQW to improve.
Thanks.

Well, it is supposed to be about teamplay. :)
Literally everyone on servers now are newbies in it, so I wouldn`t expect much.

A solution would be some people who try to win the game instead of teamkilling, running around, taking screenshots etc.

IMO, teamplay for the purpose of completing objectives is essentially the only goal. Shooting the enemy is just something you do on the way to completing the objective. You need your teammates for a variety of support roles. VOIP can greatly improve teamwork, but ultimately in ET you must complete objectives to win, not just kill the enemy.

I hope so, but its lacking for the time being. I suppose the same as most games of this genre, the public games are all about personal stats mostly.

Is there sand in the Sahara desert?
I think teamplay will be one of the key elements in this shooter. I base that on the interviews and previews that we have seen/read so far.

In ET the 'squads' are fireteams. You can make your own, apply to existing ones, or be auto-assigned. You should be spammed with an option for that on connect.

Yeah, i'm saying so because i've just played the beta (and gonna play lil' more in a minute) and squads would be a great way to improve gameplay.

That's pretty interesting, couldn't see that option.
Where is it?

Use the fireteam controls, and press M to get a mission for yourself. You get extra (bonus) XP for completing assigned missions.

I don't remember the default key, I bind it to F12 on my keyboard...

Its like watching monkeys play ping pong, they haven't the faintest clue of what their doing at the moment. VOIP will help because you can organise people to set up a defensive perimeter as you either attack or defend an objective.

I believe you can do keypad enter, or hit F1 when the game asks you at the beginning.
Additionally, hit m at anytime to receive a sub-objective. Capture a spawn, destroy a turret, etc, are all valid tasks you may receive.

But VOIP is only available inside a fireteam?

one thing to note some others have mentioned, most players in the servers are treating this as a playground. Once the community learns the path to victory you should see some really awsome teamwork. This was my experience from Wolf and ET. It took a while before the community matured and became wise to the gameplay. Hang in there, it will come.:D

what in the world is this so called "commander" role? is it the role through leading a fireteam? or is this totally different, it seems a little odd.

There are no commanders. There are fireteam leaders, they invite people onto a fireteam or kick them off one. In theory, the fireteam leader would guide the fireteam, but usually they just police it. You can see the locations of members of your fire team and their health status by looking at the fireteam overlay that appears when you join a fireteam. the person who creates the fireteam is the fireteam leader.

Ah, I swear I saw or heard an interview with commander blah blah blah. I am aware of the fireteam system though (Wolf ET vet). Just needed that to get cleared up.

The fire teams is a new, and interesting, discovery for me :) Cheers for that.

I think VOIP will be in the full game and maybe in a patch for the open beta seeing there already is a bit of licensing information about a VOIP protocol in the ETQW open beta readme..
