When I attempt at joining a server, it begins connecting then I hear an Error tone and the screen freezes. The music keeps going then eventually stops and I am unable to ALT+F4, ALT+TAB, or CTRL+ALT+DLT out of it and have to reboot, this has happened atleast 3 times. Help would be satisfactory. Its using normal settings, AA is disabled. Doubt my graphics has anything to do with it, I have been able to run every game that been released in High detail so far. (All of my drivers have been updated.)

1 Gig RAM
CPU: AMD
OS: Windows XP
Graphics card: RADEON X700

Sounds like you should try installing the latest drivers for your video card, sound card and reinstall DirectX.

If you read correctly, they have already been updated.

No idea, but I'd temporarily disable your sound card and see if the game loads. At least you'll be able to narrow it down.

This is a beta, not a demo, and your X700 is almost 3 years old. I not suprised you have problems with that old of a card.

However, they said they were optimizing things at this state, and are probably a couple of builds ahead of the open beta. Have faith it will work eventually, but you'll probably be playing at 640x480 with everything low as possible.

Eh, its funny that I was able to run every game I bought in High res, Ill lower it and see what will happen but I really don't think it is a graphics issue. Don't really have the money to get an X800 (tryin to get something cheap)

Didn't think of this before...

Open your console, CTRL+ALT+~ while loading before you get frozen... any error messages showing up in the console?

Might want to try running in windowed mode also, so you can alt+tab...perhaps a firewall warning popping up asking for permission for the game and freezing you?

Hello, The install went well, But when I click on the icon to start game, the screen goes black and then to "not responding". I have disabled the pop up, and turned off user controls on Vista. My other friends that have Vista have no problems. so i believe its a setting on my computer somewhere.any help would be nice, thanks

it worked for a good while, don't know what I did, trying to get back on now and its farting around again. Like I said, this thing I can put any game I've ever gotten on high and it will work fine, even on this I encounter no problems except for this one.

This isn't an open session for everyone to file their complaints, create a thread of your own.

I was trying different things out earlier and had a friend on the server with me who was on the other side. After the round had ended we both were disconnected from the server and had a message indicating the server had been shut down.

I was wondering if anybody else has been getting the same stuff?

Thanks.

Yeah quite a few of us are having the same problem...I also noticed sometimes players show up and then they all disappear when i click on servers and have to back out and come back in..

seems like server side issues. possibly the coding on the server client got a couple faults maybe?
