Cannot open download

Sorry if this is wrong place, but Fileplanet forums will not take my password...anyway..

I downloaded the beta, but cannot open it. I saved it to desktop, and tried opening, or even running as admin, but nothing. If I try to open it with the Download Manager same thing. I get the Not Responding message constantly. Not sure what else to do. I am running with Vista, and have never had any problems downloading or running anything before....any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a bad download. Make sure the checksum is identical to the version on the server. You can do this by downloading an app such as md5 fingerprint and comparing the md5 code with someone elses. I would help you but I don't have the beta, but someone here should be able to help you out.

If it turns out to be a bad download just re-download it.

Well, I just deleted it, and I am downloading it again to see if anything changes. I just wish there was another way to get this without using this horrible Download Manager....
