people have been asking me how to use the mic and voip while playing games so in here im just going to explain how to get it and how to use it.

1. Get a good microphone and headphone (tesco ones sometimes arn't that good, but you might say diff)

2. Once you've got all the neccessary things, look in the bottem right corner. you might see a volume sign or a speaker thing.

3. double click on this and click on the microphone, then there should be two voulume things...next to one of them is a another button speaker thing.

4. make this 20+db

5. then go into the game and click on options then controls then scroll down until you see somthing saying "team speak, global speak" somthing along those lines.

6. click on these and bind them with what ever you find good to use, ive used TAB for team and ALT(L) for global...you can choose somthing for you self.

7. then go in the game and make sure your mic is not on mute!!!

8. when you press the button you should see somtihng in yelow pop-up saying "sending audio" ask if its working and make sure you dont have it too near you mouth then people might not hear you.

if everything goes right you can speak ect

(if ive missed somthing out or need help msg me)

Quick note: you also have to press and hold the VOICE button while testing it in menus :)

What happened to the other posts?
Well anyway, in my case

1. Check
2. Check
3. Check
4. Check
5. Check
6. Check
7. Check
8. Doesn't work

Maybe I should try again. Test it. It has been a long time since I tried to test my voip, but maybe I missed a step. But I totally swore I followed the instructions to the letter.

When you plug in the mic & headphones, you should be able to tap on the mic and hear it in your headphones. That's before you open the game. Do that to see if it's an 'in-game' issue or not.

Mmm, nice, very nice, but in my case VoIP is not working. It would be nothing strange if other programs such as voice recorder and TS2 wouldn't work as well but surprise surprise, they work! People can hear me clearly, only when I go in QW and try to use VoIP (yes I have other unnecessary background programs turned off) people either don't hear me at all or just hear some static.

it could be the cause of that you have not used +20db in the microphone part of this, have you done al the things in the above?

you'll have to ask somone who has had this problem and fixed it or somone who has had voip for longer.
