If I'm not there take a look for me lying prone on top of the trailer right at the Strogg spawn or sometimes I can be found right behind you with my Lacerator out.

The flyer drone has a limited travelling distance,does that help narrow it down for ya? :p

If I manage to get to my spot, I'll deliver drone after drone on target (my personal best is 3 drones in a row, wOOt)...but the trick is how to get to that spot unharmed..."unnoticed" isn't really nescessarry: it's the speed that counts.

Well, I stand in front of the security controls and spam drones from there. No one will check there, since they think I would hack it, but nope, I'm spamming drones.

Unless you mean in the last stage, I stand in the middle of the room in plain sight wearing garish clothing.

My spot is a secret.... stolen from a Fate player during a match against somebody, can't remember. Maybe decimated. I've never gotten caught there on pubs.

Out of all the matches I played, I was exploring as a GDF player to find some good droning spots. I found this one room, that has only one entrance. My GDF buddies never go there. Good droning spot anyone?

Since I play mostly as GDF Ill answer.
I am assuming you mean for the final stage
(cause I like to hide in the ladderway in the front bunker for droning during the destruct phase)
Strogg seem to like hiding down in the room to the right (as a GDF would see it) off the side of the cage,,,there are some spots that look like glass doors in front of little rooms.

There is one spot that you can only get to by using a teleporter AND going prone. it works, but ti's a lil slow since using the teleporter uses up a drone.

The one I generally use is a room with only 1 door.

There also are a few good places under stairs inside the building.

There is a tunnel thing you can go through, when you coming from the sea wall, where the GDF boats are, and then go down the stairs, just as you go down the bottom set of the stairs. There is a set of pipe on the top, you can port on the pipes, and there is a little tunnel you can enter. That is a good spot.

The best place to hide? Use teleporter, and find the place to hide exactly at the GDF spawn inside the building. They for sure will never look for you there... I hope. When I see GDF guys going to defend, they always just go to the um defending places, not looking around their spawn for sneaky infiltrators lol.

Update... This idea so does not work. The drones life span runs out before you even get to the core.

If you have enhanced radar and a third eye, you can always get those sneaky strogg. Unfortunately, not many people I see use the third eye for radar, but its the best way to defend at that point I reckon.

I'll give a hint. The hiding spot I'm talking about is in the "room" that the strogg access the core building from. The one that was connected to the pipes from the transformer.

Here's another hint, it's on TOP of a cylindrical object.

Im not playing infiltrator at that stage very offen, but a good place is also in the room where GDF spawns. Everyone spawns and run forward to defend, no one turns around. I stayed there several times unnoticed ... you know, the biggest darkness is right under the candle :D

The Vent room. Push forward with the aggressors to clear, then wait for the core to be clear and you can get a drone in within ten seconds, then are able to shoot up the defenders again. Spending more time in flyer-drone mode is an absolute waste of a gun, and doesn't allow you to defend yourself well if at all.

i havent played inf on volcano in a while but i usually use the most obvious place in the map and surprisinly dont get caught much (stupid gdf!)

disguise, run into the vent room and behind one of those server looking boxes, start spamming drones!

Well, using that spot as well. Found another one as well, pretty close to the vent room. Won't tell that spot here. Pretty obvious, but most GDF will just pass my by :)

Never really a regular spot, if they are camping the room I usually stay in the back trying to push them out first, if they camp the bridge I'll be the one flying 1 drone there to score 2 or 3 kills :).
