When your getting revived if you start to stroy down the instant your revived you will be able to transfer ammo to health instead of waiting. As long as you have good meds dropping you 1 stroy pack when they revive you this means you'll be getting revived and near instantly have full health and some ammo.

Food for thought.

I always do it while I'm reviving but I never thought about it that way. I definitely will give it a try!

Good point, I usually try to do that, stroyent transfer is very useful.

Yeah the big advantage here is if you start pressing it while your being revived by the time you get revived you don't have to wait for the transfer to occur it begins immediately.

All you need after that is 1 stroy pack and you've got full health and some ammo :)

Good trick! I have to get revived very often...

Think it is mentioned before, but a good trick is to transfer Ammo->Health while doing objectives as well, Gives you more time to arm an objective, to build that last part or to give you the oppurtunity to hack a little longer.

This is a great trick for hack/build objectives :)

this is bad because it takes a lot longer then usual to revive somebody this way... happened to me today when I tried to revive someone. In the heat of battle this could mean a lot.

Huh ? Either player using stroyent transfer has no effect on how long it takes to revive.

The person in this thread who should be stroying during a revive is the downed player not the medic :)

Point is when your unconscious and you start to stroy down it will remove the wait period once you get revived so as soon as you are able to you can transfer ammo to health without the wait period.

Well... DOH... of course :p

I'm not sure what that player whom I tried to revive did, but it took longer than normal to revive him. It looked like revive was slowed down. When I saw this topic, I thought it was related.

If you have enough ammo by the time your spawn shield drops you have full health is the idea.. should have no effect on revive time :)

Just out of interest, is there a limit on how fast you can stroyent down? Or does it only depend on how fast you pressing the button?

Or does it only depend on how fast you pressing the button? there is a limit but it is no problem. the real problem is that you need some kind of cooldown before you can use it. for example after you have shot you have to wait a few seconds before it works.

Yeah I know about the cool down thingie, like when you throw and use a stroyent cell as a technician . You can't just stroyent transfer instantly after that. It is kinda annoying, because you can't heal in the middle of dropping and using stroyent cells.

The only person that can effect how long a revive takes is the one reviving.

And using stroyent transfer when you revive does not affect this. The only way it might is if you hit the limit to the number of keys you can press.

Interesting thought,

If your health bar ticked up when you were being revived by a Tech, would allowing the transference of ammo => stroy before the revive completing make the process 'overpowered'?

i.e. you cannot transfer if you are unconscious, but if a Tech is in the process of bringing you round; you could 'assist' by transferring your ammo to stroyent (would have to be a slower rate).

That't why I shoot you in the head! :D But yes, I have it bound to "r" so I can run and stroy up without having to take my hand away from the mouse or "wasd".

I have my mouse thumb button set to "use" so I can strafe the objective constructing/hacking/arming whilst mashing "r" and by holding "use" on my mouse!

this = for the win!

The trick is to stroy -> health before you drop the cells, since you can't stroy up/down after dropping them but you can drop cells right after stroying. I'll usually spam stroy up during a retreat, and drop a cell or two which brings me back up pretty fast. It's basically the same net effect of spamming stroy up while spamming cells, only without having to wait for it.
