Prone jumping?

Two days ago I was playing the last phase on salvage when we Strogg tried to get to the forward spawn inside that courtyard. There are some little bunker windows next to the entrance on the right which you usually blow up. I saw this guy standing in front of the window, then jumping, and then he was laying inside on the floor! Crouch jumping does not work because the window is too small but prone jumping might. It just never occurred to me - is prone jumping possible? If so it must be a pretty rare tactic because it was the first time in 100+ hours of QW that I saw someone doing so.

PS: No it did not look like a teleport and I didn't hear the teleporting sound.

i still train on that and the successrate is very very small but it works.

The first time I did this was back in W:ET, but it got removed in the latest patch or the latest ETPRO.

It is as MiiQ says. Good use for it is to jump out of a gaurd tower, or getting to defuse the bomb at the middle bunker in volcano.

This one is easy. You just need more practice.

Try the one at Volcano forward bunker door. You need to jump from the top of the box though.

Yeah, you can prone jump to get through gaps.

But it isn't a good tactical way when you are shooting people. Squat jump, i.e. crouch jump more effective, as you can stand up right away when letting go off the crouch button. Remember, when you prone, it can take you about 1 second to get up, before you can move correctly.

But some areas you can't get through with crouch jump, so prone would work better in those areas.

Of course it's not hard. It's just <hit your jump key> + <hit the prone key>. How can that be hard? :confused:

Also, just discovered you can crawl throught the thin windows! You have to go backwords though :p

I was talking about the timing. If it was that straight forward everybody would be doing it.

Some windows I find harder than others. Try the three near the second strogg forward spawn on salvage. The middle is really easy but other two seem really hit and miss. Anyone find the same?

There's pretty much no timing difficult to get, tbh.
I got it right at my second attempt, and I simply can't trick jump for shit usually :p

Just make sure no GDF players behind you while you crawling in. A GPMG backage can be very painful, most likely to result in death as well.

its really easy when you get use to it, practice

i can be sneaky with the SMG and this trick at forward bunker

there are alot more windows than that, mostly every window you can jump through quickly, and you can hit the floor without prone, if you know how :p

After practicing it's easy, yes. Took some short time to learn that jump.

However if you can't master it, you can still simply crawl into that bunker on the right side of it (the right window). It's slower but you can't miss the window ;)
