How to: -

1. Change class to Aggressor with the Obilterator
2. Select the Obliterator and then jump on the Icarus
3. Find your target, and fly above him / her as high as you can
4. Eject
5. At the moment that you Eject hit the Spacebar to 'parachute' down
6. Fire your Obliterator at your target while you're in mid air :oppressor:
7. Readjust your cursor to compensate for their movement if required

Nice tip, iv been doing this one with the hyper blaster since the beta, plus somone also posted a pretty dam good use of icarus ejection combined with letting off a violator high in the sky(my personal fav).

Theres a few actually:

1. Unpredictability
2. Its quicker than a stroybomb which they can run away from, they cant with rockets.
3. It demonstrates the games depth.

But if all of that went over your head... its all good :)

Looks like fun and catches some people off guard...I think it sucks that GDF cant fire while parachuting as I like to base jump on canyon and valley a lot but cant do anything till I land.

You can do it with just about any Strogg ability. Rockets, Violators, EMP Nades, Stroyent...

The good thing is the Icarus takes no damage from falling, so you can hop right back in if it lands relatively close to your position.

Yeh absolutely it can be done with pretty much anything, ive done it with the railgun as well.

The idea behind the Icarus / Rocket combo is that it gives you every possible advantage to beat / kill whoever you are up against.

I like to sticky scrambler a trojan/titan and Icarus bomb it, works like a wonder. They like a sitting duck, you can repeat the process if necessary provided you have enough nades. But now the icarus takes forever to recharge the damn stroybomb, not as effective as before.

You should watch AA missile from trojan, it can kill you fast, but I generally try to hide behind something when I drop down.

I suppose the RL trick would be useful, but can be a bit hard to aim.
