that one's funny: while you're flying alone you can switch seats and use the tormentor's machine gun and fire down on the infantry. the tormentor will hover for a short time and then lose height. when it starts losing height, switch back to pilot's seat and give boost. try it :)

sounds like a old trick but of course usefull, especially for people who don't know it:D
btw something similar was with a custom vehicle in UT04 which had laser turrets in second seat and the vehicle would hover even without pilot.

The gunner's Hyperblaster in the Tormentor is currently not a very effective weapon. Unless you're transporting someone to a far-off location, the person riding in the gunner's seat would probably be more useful to the team when on the ground.

The hyperblaster is weak, has a slow rate of fire (compared with, say, a 6000 rpm gattling gun) and isn't accurate. The missiles are more effective. Give the gunner a missile that locks on, then I would probably be asking for a gunner.
BTW, has anyone noticed that in the driver seat, you can shoot the plasma cannon at the same time as Strockets, even when you haven't unlocked the plasma cannon?

I also like it that if you are in the gunner seat and the pilot jumps out it displays a message telling you that they have bailed. handy to see so that u dont crash and burn.

That's a bug.
