there is a mix between what the poll is about and the author of the poll.

when the same author creates numerous polls it's often seen as simply a way to just get a thread created as polls seem to be taken differently that just normal threads.

But then if the same person is creating polls that have thoughtful and interesting questions that can then be expanded on in the comments I don't mind them tbh

Your opinoin is valid however i believe polls are great! Its boring going to forums and reading plain old topics about hardware or comparing cases or the like.

I agree some may be quite pointless but hey its a forum dude, sit back have a laugh and make some posts. That's what its all about.

Its not about been serious all the time just follow the rules and have a great laugh.

Perhaps you could offer some suggestions as to what topics/polls should be created?

90% of pools over here don't really give any useful information - even if the questions are well written you still cannot really rely on the statistics they offer, so I don't really se the point...
