Hi there,

after 1 and a half year of playing ETQW I still don't know how to use the spots of the "Wirth" (in german I only know the word that is used) what the Strog Medic can do with dead GDF. What do I have to do to use different spots with coming back in the game?

I hope you understand what I mean.

Thank you!

i think you are talking about 'spawn hosts'

I have no idea how it could take you 1,5 year to figure that out:p Glad you made it, have fun:)

I just wanna say "wow" at having played QW for 1.5 years without ever figuring out what a spawn host does.

I guess it is actualy possible if you play a localized version of ETQW. But english version's Spawn Host kinda speak for itself...
And doesn't the tooltip guy give some help about this ?

people dont read tooltips, and they mute the guy asa they find a way to:)

What QW would need is a walkthrough step-by-step tutorial, i can imagine all the possibilites it could show. Well its a little too late for that, now, but imagine a fixed narrated match prepared for a player showing all the teamwork aspects, all the fancy stuff the game has, divided into different areas.

Seriously, if people take so long (more than one person apparently) to figure out the spawn-hosts, even though it may seem so simple, how will they conceive the meta-game. Things like destroying an icarus after you use it, or trying to help in killing instead of running with pliers out all the time.

It would be a too easy path to just blame the noobines of those that have a trouble figuring how spawn hosts work, there must be something wrong with the game itself, that it does not give away stuff like that. This gives me an idea, ill make a poll about it.

Yeah, I'm amazed how many people do not know you can redirect plasma mortar fire. Seriously, the lock-on option for plasma mortars is completely useless, other than against anansis.

it can be useful when the vision is obscured or you got more important stuff to do. In 6v6 you rather do it than not, as a freely targeting opressor will become a target himself, and get sniped wasting the arty.

He wouldn't have found it as the correct spelling is Wirt, not Wirth.

A search for Wirt could have resulted in some links with Wirth, the other way around won't work.
