Spray and pray is a derisive term for firing an automatic firearm towards an enemy in long bursts, without aiming. This may be done especially by the poorly trained. It differs from suppressive fire as the shooting is sloppily directed. This term does not apply to appropriately focused fully automatic fire, true suppressive fire, as possible for a well-trained user.
I myself have learned that with aiming and SAP is not as good as aiming and. click click click.

SnP fire is manly as distract tool, maybe, in ETQW.
or in extremely close combat, but works not well.

I aim with the GPMG even in close quarter combat. The accuracy bonus rips the neemy to shreds, so the lack of FOV trade off is well worth it.

there is no point in suppressing fire in QW, its not like people are afraid of the bullets.
And since your shooting at the enemy, why not aim AS WELL?

I believe what I was trying too say was as follows. When I "aim" at someone I used to hold the fire button down. In warm up shooting at a teammate who was standing still in this manner didn't seem to lower the health bar as fast as clicking the fire button quickly.

Well, your aim sucks, thats the only explanation:p
In theory, pressing buttons instead of holding them leaves more space for precise eye-hand coordination.
But its far too much a waste of firepower when your not firing all the bullets you could have going all auto.
