These are just some things ive noticed while playing beta, use it as you like.
Ill start with the strogg
One thing that will save your life in a firefight is the stroy to health button. Have it bound to a button you can hit quickly, i put mine on the side of my mouse. Also use spawn hosts. Let me say this again use spawn hosts. If your meds are doing their job they should be around after any lag in battle.
To use spawn hosts just walk up to them and hit the f key (by default) if the fins are up then its yours if the fins are down then its claimed find another.
Ive played mostly strogg med and cov ops so those are what i know best.
Meds i think are very tough to kill if played right. For the first part of the map the best thing ive found is to drop stroy all around the build box and then tell you team it will be there. This has to advantages for you, if you get attacked you can always run through it for quick heals and more stroy, because you can spam the stroy to health button. this not only refills your ammo but also your stroy healing. They will run out of ammo eventually if they follow and then just turn and unload. they will be stuck in reload so it should be quick. The other benefit of the stroy at buildbox is that it encourages your teammates to be by the buildbox and should improve defence.The other thing that you must do is make as many spawn hosts as you can. They are essential to defending because you can be right back in the battle dropping stroy and if its clear reviving. I say if its clear because it takes a few secs adn your vulnerable. The best place ive found to put the spawn hosts is the control room in sewers. If you kill the engi they leave a good spot for yourself. Then work your way out. If your team is smart and the gdf meds dont get em your defence will be that much stronger.
As for cov ops one of the biggest things is to keep psi radar up. I like to spawn at the back base and put it there. It will normally last for awhile and if you can get an anti personell cannon by it that should kill any gdf spies from disabling it. The other benefit of spawning back is you get your pick of vehhicles that by the time you get them to buildbox area should be a good second wave against the initial rush.
Ive found myself playing in 2 styles as a cov ops. one being drone sniper and the other is disguising and backstabbin. Drone sniping is one of the funnest things ive found. Find a place that you think noone will look but is close enough to build box to get to engies building reasonably fast. Using flyers to get to rooftops without ladder access is a good place to start. I like to drop off the flyer and land on the roof so the flyer keeps going and doesnt. This will make it less obvios that im up there. You will spend almost all your time prone so get close to one of the lips of the roof. Your drone will only fly for so long, as a rule of thumb i keep an eye on the refresh of the drones, when the bar is full i know my time is almost up so find a target fast. When you get to the sewers and at least one gate is blown take the ladder to the left of the last spawn. follow the path for a while till you get to the pipe opening. Do not jump down, take a few steps back and go prone. Your drones will drop into hte room right after the grates so they will be really usefull and the only dmg you will take is if they destroy your drones, you lose around 15 to 20ish hps i think.
As for the disguise and knife thats pretty straight forward. Get a disguise then try to get behind the hillspawn if htey have it. follow a target out from spawn wait till they alone or shooting, soldiers with rocketlaunchers are good targets, fops calling arty are also pretty good. If you do it right you will get a kill and not lose your disguise. Rinse and repeat until they find you, build the emp, or you get board and want to go drone sniping.
