SD/Blizzard VS. EA/SOE

LMFAO....who would win if Splash Damage and Blizzard joined forces against EA and Sony Online Ent. To any experienced gamer, this should be more of a "lol" but i thought it'd be an interesting discussion after seeing someone compared this game to Planetside (an awsome concept for a game by SOE, but crappy development and desgin).

world of warfare? yes perhaps...and make it so when you hit lvl 20 you get flashbangs and instead of a mount at lvl 40 you get a pilot license for a vehicle of your choice....bomber plane/carrier/jeep/tank

LOL yeah [SD]BongoBoy your right on point. I for one enjoy shooting stuff to much to be casting spells and weaving baskets. Any rate where in the world did this topic come from? Lets hope all the above mentioned stay right where they are at and we focus on 2007's hottest squad based game. ;)

tbh there will be a big anti EA theme running through these forums, most of the ET players looking forward to ET:QW do not like BF and most BF players that like ET:QW, think that BF is buggy etc and blame EA for that.

Add that sd is developing ET:QW the answer to the poll is a forgone conclusion :p

I dont think SD should join with Blizzard but they should HELP eachotehr take out EA. They suck so many balls man i really hate EA. I hope they go bankrupt. And they most likely will after Quake Wars. Everyone will compare EA to Splash Damage's job and EA will be aboned like they should have been a while ago.

Blizzard is evil. Yes they support their games very well, but use intrusive copy/cheat protection mechanisms (Warden sends encrypted data blah blah). Also, unlike SD or ID they don't release Linux versions. In some cases they actively discourage Linux gamers (bnetd, warden reports cedega emulator as cheat). Still evil in my book.

By the way, this topic is stupid. You don't make good games by killing competition. In fact, competition is good for the consumer because it creates better products. SD and Blizzard have in common that they support their games and games they make ar good. What they don't have in common: everything else.

If 1 worker digs a ditch in 2 hours, how much time will it take for 2 workers ? Correct answer: at best 1 hour. Assuming they can cooperate perfectly, which is often not the case. SD and Blizzard make completely different games and I doubt they could benefit from an alliance.

blizzard makes MMOs, SD makes FPS...combine them and make a MMOFPS....SOE makes MMOs and EA makes FPS, combine them and make .....something...itd be interesting and i think SD/Blizzard could make an awsome game

PS was a shame, such a great concept...so was SWG...both great ideas, failed development
