The #ETQWMods channel has been setup on the QuakeNet IRC servers as a place where modders/mappers can come and seek help or just hang out with other developers.

Just to let everyone know that I have made #ETQWMaps (on quakenet too)

Mapping ideas / suggestions / help etc.

The #etqwmods channel was meant for all modding a like. I would just hate to have so many channels when 1 would work just fine.

Is like the sister channel of #q3mods

Aye, multiple channels/networks only dilutes the knowledge base and encumbers the process of finding help.

So #splashdamage is reserved for general mayhem, while this one is for private modding conversations?

I would not say private, but it's a place where someone can ask questions and get answers without having to deal with the stuff you might find in the #splashdamage channel.

This worked well with Q3A, so I would imagine it would do well for ETQW.

You probably connected to the wrong server or joined the wrong channel. There are 55 people in #etqwmods on irc.quakenet.org right now.

Edit: I see you made it in after all :)
