As a GDF Field Ops if you target anywhere on the ground you can redirect the rockets to where ever you target next.
If you target straight up after getting a lock then target lets say a Cyclops the missiles will strike from above instead of the angle they would normally have struck from. If you wait too long you will lose a few of the rockets when they strike the top of the map
I find this helpful especially if the Cyclops or other Strogg vehicle is behind a tree or one of the EMP buildings.
Another more effective way of keeping the rockets in the air than pointing straight up is to target from one end of the map to the other allowing the rockets to circle, before dropping them where ever you want.
Also I believe this method will also bypass flares making for a clean concise barrage at whatever your aiming at though I cannot confirm this. <- Can anyone confirm this?
If this has been mentioned in another thead please link to it.
