Hello,

I'm trying to setup a LAN server for ETQW LAN play.
But I got a little problem.
If the server has internet connection i can easily create a lan server and works fine etc.
But if the LAN Server doesn't have a gateway, so no internet connection is available, CPU load goes to 100% and playing on the server is impossible.
Seems like the server wants to authenticate himself with an ID server.
Even Lan authentication is turned off, but still it wants to talk to an id server.
Someone expected same problem or knows how to avoid this?
Or is it not possible to create a LAN server without an internet connection available?

Hello, I'm having the same problem - server launcher works fine with an Internet connection, but won't authenticate offline. Anyone have a solution to this one? Would be much appreciated...
Cheers.

Yep, the latest patch allows "Play Computer" single play, but we're trying to run a LAN server (for multiple clients).

I tried installing the "server lite v1.1" update last night, but the server still won't "authenticate" without Internet access - anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Cheers.

LAN server doesn't need authentication. If it is meant purely for lan, start it with +set net_LANServer 1

Yea, +set net_LanServer 1 is the answer here. Setting the gui serversetup.exe option of LAN Server to TRUE does not seem to set this cvar fwiw.

Why i'm connecting to Lan server(offline account), server tell your ip not Lan. Example my ip 10.110.113.x , Server ip 10.110.25.x . Other seagments ?
