Advanced Tactical Center y a great tool where your team or clan members can join and share tactics and place positions in the maps. I really suggest you start poking Foolish Entretainment to make one for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. OR start building your own, heheh.

(I know the site is down but there are download links to test it out)
 Nice uh?

The whole client/server model is really unnecessary for an application like this, IMO.

That's great and I agree with you to certain point. A good collaborative whiteboard would be useful but it has to be in real time, the "save / load" method is too slow to discuss tactics...
Also it would be great to load new map images, like the new valley map...
Also I'm planing a way to show the turret orientation...
And COMPLETE mod capability to create new games/mods.

The problem is ATC isn't very good at all. No way to zoom, and the client is stuck in a small window. As it stands, it's just a networked MS Paint with a static background and a synchronized overlay.
I looked into adapting ATC for QW, but the Google maps solution is infinitely better in terms of interface. Ultimately it would be neat if a thick client were used for the realtime networking, but that's out of my expertise.

Already done on a private version. Of course you can save the html file, and generate the map overlays yourself. There's no server-side code

On my todo list, but not enough time.
And COMPLETE mod capability to create new games/mods.
Already supported, it uses standard files generated from the ET:QW client. See the mapshot command for more info.
An in-engine solution would be the best though, since you could then draw within walls, etc.

The drawing part of it has been taken down. It simply doesn't seem to work well, whether due to the library, or just my implementation that's slowing it down.
You can still view 11 of the 12 built-in maps, though.

some time ago the ppl from Logix made a mod with 6 ETQW competition maps for ATC:
you can download it from: http://files.5pg.de/fix/logixatc/Advanced.Tactical.Center.ETQW.Mod-1.0.rar
Enjoy this!

Thx Spaboy, going to try it out.
Sponge, any chance you will finish this? It looks great with the googlemap thingy. If this can be combined with a drawing functionality it would be a great tool for clans.

The drawing just doesn't seem to work well enough, and it doesn't appear there's much I can do about it.
I've got saving and loading of strats in the complete version, though.
