Linux servernames limit?

Hey guys,

I'm having a little issue when setting up my linux ded server.
For some reason my servername is too long but I know other linux servers, which have longer servernames than mine does and they work fine. The server is up and running, and you can connect via IP etc, but it doesn't appear in the lobby :/.
I already checked through the config files but I don't have a clue whatsoever.
Any ideas would be appreciated ;>.

and you are sure the long name is the problem?
so if you set a short name your server is in the list?

thanks for your reply.
I was playing around with the server tonight and all of a sudden it was working just fine.
Dunno what happened there but I appreciate your concern.
