I am getting what appears to be a catalogue of errors during initialisation (org'ed into 2 main groups below):

1) couldn't exec 'etqwconfig.cfg'
execing 'localization/english/defaultbinds.cfg'
couldn't exec 'etqwbinds.cfg'
execing 'autoexec.cfg'

2)

ERROR: The current video card / driver combination does not support the necessary features: GL_ARB_occlusion_query

-----------------------------

I have the latest ATI drivers (6.14.0010.6715 - 17/08/07) and am using a ATI 1800XT, 2 gig DDR RAM, AMD Athlon 4000+, XP Sp2. No overclocking and no changing of gcard software settings. All other id created or id tech powered games have worked fine on this rig. Installation appeared to go fine. I did not try the beta.

I have searched for similar probs on the boards but could not find anything obvious.

Anyone help?

Read the first post on this thread. (http://community.enemyterritory.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8229)

It talks about a fix for ATI users about half way through the quote.

Not sure if it's related to your vid card but it's worth a try.

Search "GL_ARB_occlusion_query" and you'll get 2 pages of results.

Had this error too, before I updated my video card drivers.

Have you tried these new (hotfix for ET:QW) catalyst: http://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894 ?

Anyway, the 7.9 final seem to be out, released today, maybe those are more appropriate.
