Everything changes, the console recognizes the values for both unlockFPS and unlock_maxFPS but IT'S STILL 30 FPS!
And no, it's NOT my performance. It's stable as a rock.
Are you punished to play the game in 30 fps? I'm canceling my pre-order, seriously. You CAN'T play the game in 30 fps, that's unplayable.

you need to do com_unlock_maxfps 60 or 90, sillyhead.

I've tried 120, didn't work.
And doesn't 0 just set it without a roof at all.

with timing method 1 you will get 30fps unless you'r rig is capable of doing 60 or 90 fps. also in beta 2 when playing with bots (local) fps were capped to 30 netherless of settings (dunno why) so just connect to some server and then do the testing.

most people have no trouble going over 30FPS (the default settings cap at 60, not 30), so something is wrong on your end.
If you are running with vsync on, AND not managing to hold whatever your refresh rate is, that might keep you at a lower FPS.
You can try timingmethod 0 as well.
You have your maxfps set to 0, but it probably defaults back to 30. The 3 biggest cvars are:
com_unlockFPS 1
com_unlock_timingmethod 1
com_unlock_maxFPS 90
That's what I have in my autoexec.cfg, anyway and the game runs great. Also, refer to http://community.enemyterritory.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2042
for any other questions about FPS.

Did you just play against bots? The unlock cvars don't seem to work when you're playing a game on your local machine. Like gloowa said, try connecting to a public server. My fps went from 30 to over 100...

Correct, if you host a game you seem to be locked at 30 no matter what. Also, when you are just sitting in the menu, not on a server, it's locked at 30.
