DELL DIMENSION 8300 P4 WITH HT TECHNOLOGY 3.01
512MB DDR400 DUAL CHANNEL MEMORY (2X256)
120GB SATA HARD DRIVE
VALUE1128MB ATI RADEON 9800 PRO GRAPHICS CARD
SOUNDBLASTER AUDIGY 2 (DELL)
WIN XP HOME SP2.
Installed ATI fix also. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks.

Solved this for me. Upgraded to 2Gig memory, and no more error.
Anyway, thanks for making a great game guys.

The single most likely cause of this error is in the windows registry.

Run a registry cleaner (suh as RegCure) to remove bad links or values, then uninstall and reinstall the application causing the fault.

The uninstall/re-install may be leaving behind registry values, so you may want to run the cleaner once more after the install.
