Hey all,
The forums clearly state that Catalyst 7.9's are needed to play the game... however, I use an agp x1950 pro, and in the 7.8/7.9 release notes, they say there are issues with the x1950 pros on agp systems.
I would really love to play this game, but don't wanna wait for ATI to fix their f#$@ up, cause they take forever fixing issues.
Any ideas?

Wow now i know what my problem is..
The beta 2 would just work fine here.. so after downloading the demo i though "off to the driver update".
Now i can't play the beta and the demo won't run too.. qwet just hangs up as soon as i get in the menu. Didn't read the patchnotes but now that you mention it: I'm running a x1950pro on AGP too.
This sucks -_-

i have the x1950pro 512 AGP and uninstalled 7.7 today and installed the "hotfix" 7.9

ok first mapload crashed within seconds, but after some tweaking in the settings correcting resolution and turning the anisoptric all down etc exiting the game after the choises made etc then going back and now i have played for some hours without any problems with the "hotfix" drivers. anyway 7.7 worked also fine with beta 2 so 7.9 is not a must i would guess.

That's alright, when I tried to install the 7.8's when they came out, my system would boot without my graphics card support. So i had to revert back to 7.7... stupid ATI
I haven't tried the 7.9's yet, but the release notes claim they still don't work for x1000 series AGP cards
