Pretty weird considering worse cards are. After updating my drivers, every time I start up the game it reboots my PC. The betas ran fine... what changed?

Welp, I guess it's the drivers causing the crash. Quake 4 started doing the same thing. I rolled back to 7.8, and it fixed the rest of my games, but QW won't load up without them of course. Awesome.

I fixed it. If anybody has the same problem, I reinstalled the 7.7 drivers, then installed the 7.9 hotfix drivers.

I heard that I needed the 7.9 drivers, but they seem to be really terrible. When I use them, I can see the screen redrawing. While dragging windows around, I can see the window in two positions, and things like context menus load in two or three passes. What's the deal?

Where can I find this hotfix?

3.4 GHz
1256MB RAM
ATI x1600 Pro 512MB (AGP)
