opening the etqw server patch ???

HI Im new to LINUX and have Xubuntu running. My problem is getting the server files to open. the file:///home/redneck/Desktop/ETQW-publicbeta2-patch1-server.x86(2).run
is on the desktop and i cannot open it. have tried all logical ways to open it but my Linux experience is very limited. can some one help.. thanks Redneck:( :( :(

If it does not work on your desktop try to open a terminal and open it with "./ETQW-publicbeta2-patch1-server.x86(2).run" when you're in the folder.
