As nerdy as this sounds, I saw John Williams and the Boston Pops Live at the Hollywood Bowl the year Star Wars Episode I came out.
That and Los Angeles has an annual KIIS-FM concert called Wango Tango, pretty sweet too. Saw KISS live.

Grateful Dead in Deer Creek Indiana, the last 2 years they played there before Jerry Garcia died. The last year was crazy with swarms of people rushing the fence to get in (normally thousands without tickets come). I saw like 150 cop cars come to restore order from all over Indiana... it was like everyone knew this would be the last concert there. The only experience I ever had that I would consider truly surrealistic.
Suicidal Tendencies in the Phantasy Theater in Cleveland, Ohio. Saw them in like '86 (forget exactly). Huge crowd, the pit seemed to be the entire place, and I got to party with the band :P
Pharcyde rap show at Peabody's in downtown Cleveland. Me and my friend were the only 2 white people there, and rather than feeling out of place, we ended up meeting a ton of cool people, and partied with a couple of guys from the band.
I'll add a 4th - The first 2 Lollapalooza shows ever. Sneaking Vodka bottles in the show in the center of watermelons, and seeing tons of people I haven't seen in a while. The first show it rained, and there was a large grassy slope going down to the stage area that hundreds of people turned into a mudslide... fun stuff.

I saw them in 1991 at Giants Stadium, NJ. I went, just to say I saw them and I was curious about the whole scene. I had more fun checking out the freaks and hippies in the parking lot then at the show. Definetly glad I went.
