Server showedicated server is not authenticated,network service is online..

1st .. are you trying to run on W2k Server or Porkfessional/Workstation
also are you trying to run a listen (server and play) or dedicated (just server)
The dedicated server will land does run perfectly on Win2k Server. If you are trying to play the game on W2kk Pro, then it wont work..or I doubt it.
This isnt a W2k server issue, its prob that you dont have all the files, or regkeys ..or you generally fooked it up :p

If you don't have an install already on the server, install the lite server on an XP PC somewhere, then zip the files up and load them onto the server.
Then get the "id software" reg key from the registry, edit it accordingly as per the file paths on your server, and upload it and merge it.
The "my doc " folders should autocreate.

I dont understand your comment tbh..as far as I knwo there is no 2k support officially.. in Badmans own words to me in speakin to him about the dedi server problem... "2k isnt on the radar..its not even close"
To be fair..I dont think he actually understood the question I was asking at the time...or its not relevant in what SD are trying to do...
The game hasnt been designed with 2k in mind...but thats no reason to cripple the installer so that you cant put it on and make it work yourself. I just found a work around a tick box in the install options they have chosen.
It is unliekly to work on 2k pro as a playable game, because 2k lacks some things that xp has and extending support to perfectly capable operating systems of 7 yrs old is more than most developers want to do nowadays as far as games go..and theree are good reasons for this.
