QWPromax imo
o, so its true.
well i hope devs will look up what "pro" features camed with other mods for games ... i think q3 osp, q4 max can show some variables that need to be included in the game settings and what is the best way to do it.

Yes I will be modding et:qw, dunno about AJ, but I think he will at least take a look and try a few things out,
I definitely hope he is going to mod et:qw too, because he is one of the best coders I know in the quake community.
well there is arqon, but aj is much more involved to the community, he is a person you can actually talk to.
I dunno if there will be a pro mod, I kinda hope the game will work without a pro mod at least the first 1-2 years.
But I'm definitely going to add some new gametypes to this game, probably ctf
and maybe some kind of a teamdeathmatch mode (adapted to fit the gameplay & story of et:qw a little more):
a large open field where 2 teams fight eachother..
the more frags you do, the more the frontline gets moved to one or the other side.
players spawn a specified distance away from the frontline, so they don't get spawn raped
and have to run in direction of the enemy which makes it look more like a war scenario.
If et:qw does not come with movie maker support, then I'll port my q4 code to it too.
We'll see when it comes out.
and from what I've heard from the devs, I'm going to love modding this game so much

Great to hear that!
When we were having a debate about how popular games were in competition, some guy randomly counted the ammount of CoD2 teams in the European ladders, saying that CoD2 owned W:ET. Basicaly, W:ET has one gametype which is StopWatch, while CoD2 has multiple gametypes such as CTF, S&D and TDM. So it was a rather unfair count (however CoD2 is still twice as big as W:ET). Hopefully ET:QW will have at least 2-3 gametypes actively played in competition for the variation.
By the way, I think the etpro team will be working on ET:QW as well, so maybe contact them to extend your team? :)

ATM, coding for Q4 ;)
We'll see when etqw comes out I guess - I haven't yet decided whether I need the sleep more than I want to take on an etqw mod.
MAXBrowse will likely get etqw support of course.

how about... ET:TRIBES????
As long as its not a total conversion, it may see the light of day.

Hopefully people will learn from D3 and Q4, and make "little and often" releases, rather than holding onto it and keeping it secret until its 100% finished (or rather, you get demoralised after 6 months and no end in sight).

In many ways I agree with you, because that was certainly a problem, but the small releases have the unfortunate consequence of being barely playable, having crappy stand-in art, etc. This seems to split the (vocal parts, at least) of the community. It seems that you've got the people that don't realize that the mod is barely started, let alone finished, and complain about every last thing that is wrong, and you've got the drooling fanboys that are certain that you have the best mod evar.
I'm not sure if making what are essentially tech demo releases really do anything for the modders themselves. With that said, Ground Zero (http://groundzeromod.net/) (and, wiki (http://groundzeromod.pbwiki.com/)) is doing incremental releases, and we are one of the few doom3 mod projects still alive, slowly trudging along. While the releases have created a bit of hype, they haven't seemed to draw any talent to the mod, unfortunately.
