I have been playing for a while now but I still dont have rank.... people who have less exp than me got the rank private but i still got nothing :S

play soldier,when you destroy 2 objectives and gather 600 exp as a soldier you will get a rank.
engies get easy ranks imo

Yes, and for each requirement for a medal that you dont have yet, you gain a rank. So completeting the assault medal fully (600 XP, 2 thingies destroyed) will give you 2 ranks.

So can you accumulate points over multiple games on a ranked server?
Or are you still expected to get 600 points in one game.

I have been playing a lot and have never come close to getting that many points in one game. I know I am not the best, but I don't suck that bad.

In your Persistent Stats section, you can find your "Accomplishments". There you can see 24 different medals. Selecting a medal brings you few objectives. Completing any of the objectives brings you a rank. Correct me if I'm wrong. And yes, it saves all your points, so you can play 600 games and get 1 xp from each.

I myself have a question about ranks too. The Advanced Player Guide says that there will be announcement if you get a rank (for soldier ranks to yourself only, for field officer ranks to your team, for general officer ranks to whole server). I got few ranks, but 1) there have been no announcements and 2) they don't update to stats screen (tab) or anywhere else but my Persistant Stats, before I rejoin the server. Can someone tell me, is this a bug of simply an error in the Advanced Player Guide?

It usualy takes awhile for the server to gather your stats.

Yes, if you get required amount of exp, you will get a promotion. The stats are updated in game every few minutes, and those on stats.enemyterritory are updated after few hours.

Well when I had my first 2 promotions, I kept playing on the same server few campaigns, without visible promotions in the server (limbo menu had "conscript" on the left side and "private first class" on the right side, where I had Persistent Stats menu open). Is this the way it should work? I guess that the game MAY work this way (server loads stats from the game when player joins but after then from stats.enemyterritory, of it loads player stats very rarely from the game) but it does not seem right.

I have also not seen any visible promotions, even though they were available in the Beta. I really want to see those. =\ There seems to be some mess-ups with persistent stats, but at least they are tracking, unlike Warhawk for the first week.

so what is an objective, I know it is diferent from a mission...

Objective is the main mission. For example, in Valley map, the last objective for GDF is to destroy the contaminator. 3 of the 5 classes have an objective task at the first medal: 2 Destroy-objectives for Soldier, 2 Construct-objectives for Engineer and 2 Hack-objectives for Covert Ops. Number of medals has no effect to the ranks; it's the amount of tasks. For example, if you get the medic Shield and the soldier Shield, you should get 3 promotions (600 medic xp task, 600 soldier xp task and destroy 2 objectives task). Like I have said, the promotions do not seem to work properly on the servers (some servers can even revert your rank back from a rank you have seen on yourself on another server) but your persistent stats should show it right realtime.

so... even if I had 60+ hours of gameplay in the last week... only the hours spent while on the proverbial 'ranked' server would show up in the stats, right?

you actually get 2 ranks.. 1 for the objectives, the other for the 600 xp

right - along with any related stats. anything that happens on an unranked server, stays on an unranked server.

I normally play Strogg Technician, and have 800+ XP but still show as Conscript, is there somewhere that shows what you need to get Private?

Look at your Achievements tab in the stats page. You have 882 XP across all fields. If you look at specific progression towards any specific award task, you'll see, for example, that you have 311 XP towards the 600 you need to get the Life Support Shield. Since that award only has a single task, finishing that task will earn you both the award and a promotion.

The medic seems to be a tough one to Rank up in buti plan to keep going... noticed a distinct lack of them on the servers I play on.. most want to play Engie or fly to get the quick Stats

Anyone has any tips for me how to destroy objectives? Becouse I find it impossible to do so, I was just real lucky when I blew up my last objective for the soldier medal.

Whenever I try to plant and arm the explosives I either get killed by a mine lamer, or enemies comes and kills the entire squad in the room.
I was about to plant once, but then I got TKed twice by two assholes who probably wanted all the credit for themselves.

Any tips on when to hack and construct objectives would be very appreciated as well.
