Default How to counter Rocket launchers?

Whats the way to counter them?
I think sending one or two infiltrators (playing as strogg) up the hill might do the trick, thats were most of them hang out.

Other/better ways?

What are they using the RL'ers for? Are they inside the sewer or up on a mountain taking out turrents and vehicles?

Peskering the Cyclops from the hills to the north and west.

Let them, it's 12v12, and that's 1 less person trying to build that EMP. Not to mention it takes like 5-6 rockets to take out a Syclops, which is half their ammo.

And you can always fire back with the Cyclops.

You just have to predict when and where they are going to land, or be near a wall etc to splash off of. I've killed quite a few this way with both the rocket launcher and tank gun.

You can engage the cyclops from beyond the distance it can effectively hit you. The plasma cannon shell is SLOW.Don't bother locking since he can spam decoys faster than you can fire.

Don't waste rockets on a cyclops; they're much more effective at taking out lightly armored targets. A field ops with rocket arty is a far more effective way to destroy a cyclops, especially since the cyclops has no chance to survive even if it does launch countermeasures (and therefore pilots should make their time).

if you're near them...if they miss just charge right at them...worse case scenario he kill your and himself...or you kill him at full health since he's too busy reloading

The Cyclops has a close-in Stomp attack - don't get too near its feet or you may end up very flat.

Really? As in an active weapon or do you just have to move / rotate to cause it to go off?

press Jump when Cyclops isn't in Siege Mode it will make a stomp movement with it's right leg which trembles the ground.

Also Jump is also get out of siege mode, once I was hunkered down in Siege mode and GDF guy came close trying to attack me I press jump to get out and then again jump to stomp and boom he went down xD

it works yes but that's not stomping that's just walking over them, stomp is what I explained above, just standing still and stomping the ground with one leg.

Yeah tbh only way to take out a cyclops solo is from above. On sewers if a GDF stands on a building or something above him they are pretty impossible to hit unless the Strogg gets a good shot and hits the railing.
