and not anti air but anti artillery
it's not that usefull on GDF side in Sewer map but at first objective near the EMP disruptor there's a very good spot for a anti artillery... most enemies seem to leave it alone cause they just go for the objective while ALL their artillery gets intercepted giving you big XP and they get 0 kills! I'll tell you the spot.. its near that garage where later armadillo and titan spawn, then in the corner of those walls right next to it it sort of faces the EMP disruptor... its nicely tucked in a corner so the enemies best way of taking it out is to get close and that means getting inside the walls where you can kill em off easily, and if they leave it alone the better cause all artillery, rocket artillery and hammer missiles fired all get destroyed before they can damage anything! works great for me looks really great when a whole bombarbemt comes in and every bomb that falls goes boom! in the air by some laser beam also see below... only deployed it 6 times and it negated 61 bombs... (it counts every artillery strike not every entire bombarbement) so basicly if each of those bombs killed a teammate then it prevented 61 deaths on my side also this is from only from <3 hours and you don't have to anything for it except repair if its disabled and deploy it of course but then free xp! woot! |

as strogg we usually deploy a APT and a AA near the EMP disruptor. usually everyone likes to choose the "powerful gun" as their artillery and those can be intercepted. some people have been selecting those other artilleries and those help much.

not that very far I think but you don't seem to have to bother about direction like the GDF AA but I'm not sure about that.
anyway just near the EMP disruptor isn't always good unless it's inside the walls of course... outside it's food for trojans, armadillo's and titan's but when it's placed inside walls where I said it got good near the road and disruptor area, road defense helps when they try to shoot down cyclops/desecrator and other vehicles that camp around there using artilleries or similar... anyway murka I've not been playing that long but haven't seen anyone deploy AA's beside's me just yet but probably because im playing with the newer batch of players also don't see that much hammer missilies though I do see quite a bit of dark matter cannon's or whatever... on GDF I see alot of normal artillery then hammer then rocket artillery... lot of AVT's on GDF team to(annoying when I'm in Icarus )anyway really don't see any AA's beside my own and mine usually lasts until they build EMP disruptor... then it explodes right away probably because of not owned territory? |

I dunno, I love that spot your talking about for an APT. I get many,many kills with one placed there. You can place the Anti Artillery Turret pretty far back behind the obj and it will still negate artillery around the objective.

I would suggest not putting it where the TC is suggesting, because that place is much better suited for an anti personel turret, by another constructor!
Put it a bit more back, I assure you it will still shoot down all artillery, while still leaving the good anti-personal spots free for other constructors It will not cost you any XP, but it will help you win more matches! win-win? |

I could not agree more. Most people who are new to the game just seem to like turrets better (because they shoot stuff), but anti-artillery is a life saver.
Sometimes they forget to deploy radars too, even when there are 3-4 covert-ops on our team. |

The class who can deploy the hammer, DM cannon, etc, all those get intercepted. Only the Airstrike and orbital laser thing don't get stopped. The AVT and APT don't get stopped obviously, since they aren't artillery.
