Opportunistic Airstrike Denial - Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Official Community Site

A clanmate and I were goofing around on a server last night, and found out that the Strogg Oppressor's tactical shield can indeed deny a Vampire airstrike. Granted, you only have like 1 - 1.5 seconds to place the shiled so it covers it, but if you happen to be there it can be done :P (He can do the same to his violator marker)

Did not test vehicles covering airstrikes, will test those today to see if they provide the same effect.

I'm pretty sure you can also do this with your body, like in RTCW/ET. Just don't stand on the maker for too long

Does that mean you'll be able to kick cannisters at some stage as in other ET mods? Always was quite funny kicking one back and wiping out a wave about to attack...

I believe you just lay prone on it and you deny the air strike.

Hrmm i'd hope that denying an strike with ur body would score multiple xp points considering the risk u place urself in and the possible major team save.

With the way some people throw the marker, you may end up saving several enemies.
