Default Ground Armor: A discussion

Both side has two types of vehicles, heavy and light

Strogg light: desecrator, perhaps the weakest light tank of all, it dies in 2 titan hits, or 3 rocket launcher shots. However, there are two different, very useful purpose for this tank, due to two of its very different properties

1. It's speed and hover ability: its ability to hover over obstacles and its fast speed/ability to strafe make it an excellent hit and run vehicle. While titan is stronger than it, it can totally outmanuver titan

2. its small size: the small size of desecrator allows it to be fitted onto many small spaces. It's capable of directly camping the garage in EMP plant, also it's the only tank that can directly camp the EMP disruptor

Strogg heavy: cyclops: there isn't really much to say about it, except that crouching gives faster cannon reload, space allow it to stump infantry under it, and the fact that yes, it can insta-kill any GDF vehicle (including titan) by steping onto the top of the said vehicle

GDF titan: it's stronger than desecrator, and faster/hit harder than cyclops. A skilled titan user should win against both of strogg vehicles.

EDIT: yes, you can go into siege with both cyclop and desecrator, increasing their fire rate, I hope everyone knows that by now.

Default you forgot something

you totally failed to mention the desecrator's siege mode.

you crouch in the tank and it lowers and the fire rate increases.

I fail to see how something as heavy as Desacrator can be considered a light vehicle. It has the same armor (heavy armor type and 2000 hp) as Trojan but weapons much better against ground targets.

Desacrator has better gunner position than Titan. The gunner isn't exposed to fire.

Apparently the Desecretor can also "fly" over low walls, like those surrounding the EMP disruptor. Pretty useful if you find yourself in a tight spot.

You can also stick the desecrator to walls.

IIRC, the dev chat stated that this was an unintended bug (sticking desecrator to walls) and will be removed in Beta2.
