ETQW 1.5 Status Update

Just a quick update on where things are at with the Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars 1.5 game update. We're currently doing some last minute testing with id Software to track down a few issues that have turned up, but we don't anticipate this to take too much time. We really just want to make sure that all the issues we're aware of are actually addressed rather than pushing out an update with a big asterisk and a list of It'll-break-if-you do-this-ers attached to it.

Distribution is being sorted out at the moment as well and if there are no further complications, we anticipate having the update out next week. We'll try and keep you as updated as possible from here on out, so as soon as we've got a definite release date, you'll read it here first.

because of all the "ouh, what a bad service, SD!"-complaints:

i think you do a fine job with your public relation. thanks man.

Agreed AgeAzz, thanks for the update Badman

SD came out with the game, which was the only thing I personally busted a gut waiting for.
I'm playing this bastard 1.3, 1.4, WHATEVER.

I appreciate the ongoing work these folks are putting into the game.

It's the only video game I frakking play, seriously.
Before that ET was the only one.

So rock on.

Quotin this because I fully agree

thanks for the update.. I can('t) wait..

Ah, when people aren't complaining at all then somethings wrong...

Nice job Bat-um Badman

Can we get some news about the competition mod any time soonish, last time I heard it was going to be released alongside this patch, is that still valid?

Thanks for the heads up by the way.

Competition Mod (and source) will be released shortly after 1.5 - same goes for the updated SDK.

Thanks very much for keeping us posted, Badman. I would much rather continue to wait for a fully-tested patch than receive a patch that was rushed to satisfy the whiners, which contained problems. You guys kick ass and I thank you.

"...NEXT WEEK..."

And you people are right, suspiciously no complaining in this thread...
